Wesley Hunt is former US Army pilot and lifelong Texan, running for Texas’s new 38th Congressional District. A West Point graduate, AH-64D Apache helicopter pilot, and retired Army Officer, Hunt has spent his post-military career building a reputation as a West Houston business leader. In Congress, Hunt will prioritize fiscal responsibility, border security, and infrastructure.

Hunt is a strong campaigner. In 2020 he nearly unseated Congresswoman Lizzie Fletcher in Texas’s 7th District, a seat Biden carried by nine points. The legislature in Austin crafted the 38th district after the 2020 census with an anticipated Hunt candidacy clearly in mind. The new district is solidly Republican.

Hunt is a prolific fundraiser, hauling in over $1 million in the fourth quarter last year with $1.5 million on hand. Additionally, Hunt has received contributions from 22,000 donors and is endorsed by the Congressional Leadership Fund, a Republican leadership-aligned super PAC.
